DESIGNER SPEAK: Top
US designers share their passion for British style
and recommend some of their favorite London addresses:
KIM PARKER Textile designer and artist: "For me,
British design is extremely fresh and innovative, successfully
combining Old World charm with a contemporary flair. There is
great wit, courage and intelligence in British design. As a huge
fan of the Arts & Crafts movement, I have always loved the
designs of William Morris--And my own designs have been referred
to as "modern Arts & Crafts" for their densely populated
patterns. I often employ British names and words when naming my
collections such as Jane Austen's Emma, for my Emma's
Garland tableware collection for Spode" --
